Are Pets Allowed?

We accept will accept 1 full grown cat (no kittens) per residence. Cat must be indoor only, well trained, with references upon application. There is an additional $30/month rent for the cat. We accept fish in a tank 30 gallons or less with no additional rent. We do not accept any other type of pet or emotional support animals. Service Animals as defined by the ADA are permitted.

Where is Smoking Permitted?

We do not accept smokers as tenants. The Scott Apartments is a “Breath Easy” residence. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premise. This includes indoor and outdoor spaces.

What are Lease Terms?

Standard lease term is 1 year. If you are looking for a shorter-term stay, we offer Apartment #2 fully furnished on a monthly basis.

Who Pays Utilities?

Tenants pay for their individually metered electric usage. Tenants also pay internet, cable tv, and telephone services should they want these. Water/wastewater, natural gas, and trash and recycling is included in the tenant’s monthly rent.

Where is Parking Available?

The Scott Apartments does not provide off-street parking. The Scott Apartments is in a City of Fort Collins RP3 parking zone. Thus, tenants are allowed, with a free city issued permit, to park 24/7 in the 2hr parking spaces near their home. Most tenants are able to park easily right next to our building or with ½ a block.

What is the Application Process?     

Prospective tenants must submit a brief pre-qualification survey prior to applying. Once pre-qualified a prospective tenant must submit a more detailed application. Our screening process include background and credit checks. There is a $39.95 application fee that we’ll deduct from your first month’s rent.

We expect our tenants to:

  • Treat our property (your home) with respect and care

  • Treat their neighbors (other building tenants) with courtesy and respect

  • Pay rent on time

  • Communicate promptly

How Can Tenants Communicate with Management?

The Scott Apartments uses Rent Redi as our property management partner. Their app is simple to use and allows us to manage just about every aspect of our Tenant/Landlord relationship. This includes communication, application, rent payment, leases, and more. There is no charge to tenants to use Rent Redi.

Is the Building Secure?

Your security is important to us. The Scott Apartments uses Homebase to secure our building and individual apartments. All building access is keyless. The Homebase app on your phone will give you access to the building and your apartment as well as allowing you to grant access to your visitors and guests. Key fobs are also available.
